Reserve your spaceMy yoga journey began in Venezuela, my native country, when I was 17 years old after a car accident that left me with three displaced vertebrae. I lost some mobility in my upper body, which is why I started taking yoga classes. Raúl Vásquez has been my personal teacher ever since. That's how this adventure began, an adventure that would lead to my transformation.
At first, my yoga practice was primarily physical: the movements helped me relieve chronic pain, especially in my back, hips, and neck. In those years, I was a runner, so yoga restored my flexibility after running on the asphalt. For a long time, yoga was a therapeutic tool for my body, and it was amazing.
In 2020, the hardest loss of my life came: my mother passed away unexpectedly. The pain was immense, and the emptiness was overwhelming. Anxiety and depression enveloped me in a fog of sadness. It was during that dark time that yoga ceased to be merely physical and became my lifeline. My daily practice helped me get out of bed and taught me to breathe when I felt I couldn't, to hold on when everything inside me wanted to run away, and to find a sliver of peace amidst the chaos. Little by little, parts of me healed, leading me to feel a profound connection with myself, with life, and with God. Yoga didn't take away my pain, but it gave me tools to navigate it and emerge transformed; in the process, it connected me with the purpose of serving others through it.
That awakening propelled me to take a courageous step: in 2022, I became a certified yoga teacher through a school in India, immersing myself in the ancient wisdom that had changed my life. Later, I founded Pranava’s Moments in the Dominican Republic, a space created with love so that others could find that same refuge and transformation through wellness and yoga.
In 2023 and 2024, I visited India to learn more about this wonderful ancient land and its marvelous cosmology from local teachers. Since then, I have continued studying with various gurus to deepen my knowledge and honor this wisdom, including my beloved teacher, Mataji Shiva. Today, I live in the United States and teach in English and Spanish through Yoga Pranava’s.
From this space, I invite you to transform your life through yoga. Whether your purpose is physical, emotional, spiritual, or if you simply feel you need a space to breathe, I invite you, with love and the certainty that yoga is more than just movement, to open this door to transformation in your life. Are you ready to take the first step with me?
My purpose is to share all that I have learned and help people transform their lives through yoga and well-being.
